Patchwork Research was founded on a simple belief: the most meaningful decisions come from truly listening

President & Founder
I’m Rachel Yanoshik, founder of Patchwork Research, with more than 16 years of experience helping teams understand people and build products, services, and brands that genuinely resonate with customers.
My background spans User Research, Market Research, and Customer Insights across both consumer brands and technology companies. I’ve led research for product and customer experience teams at Amazon (Books & Kindle) and Comcast/Xfinity. Earlier in my career, I worked in retail at Urban Outfitters and Lane Bryant, partnering with brand, merchandising, and customer experience teams to understand emerging customer behaviors and inform retail strategy.
Having spent my career embedded within product organizations, I bring a practical, hands-on perspective to my work. I partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, marketers, and researchers to ensure insights don’t stop at a report but instead inform real decisions and meaningful action.
Over the course of my career, I’ve built and scaled research practices, managed and mentored researchers, and stayed closely connected to the work itself. I’m a mixed-methods researcher with a strong qualitative foundation, formally trained in moderation through the RIVA Institute and an active member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA).
I started Patchwork Research to create space for deeper listening, thoughtful synthesis, and more grounded decision-making. My approach focuses on bringing customer stories together in a way that is clear, actionable, and human. I believe good research isn’t about volume or speed—it’s about meaning.
I’m based just outside Philadelphia, and when I’m not working you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and six-year-old daughter, reading, cooking, playing pickleball, and rooting for the Phillies.
